Another Year, Another Web Site

1-19-01

Well, by now you've surely noticed that I've totally redone the website. I think this "understated" look is a bit more to my liking. I'm also trying to get some more useful stuff on here (not necessarily for you), such as my resume and photo gallery. Let me know what you think.

I'm about a week into school and the workload mounts...it's going to be a busy semester. I'm starting to get into more engineering-specific courses now (strengths, dynamics, intregated engineering design), for which I'm glad. There's still the unfortunate mathematical aspect but I enjoy the applicative aspects of the stuff I learn now. It's gratifying to know that I'll actually use this stuff down the road when I'm designing the next revolution in modern aircraft (dog pilots!).

I'm also now a full-fledged brother at Tau Delta Kappa fraternity; where I'm the Inter-fraternity Council rep. as well as the philanthropy officer. My duties as IFC rep. basically entail going to IFC meetings every Monday night and acting as the voice for the house. My philanthropy position basically gives me the responsibility of finding community service-oriented activities for the house to participate in and thereby improve our community image and "give something back." I'm in the process of setting up an Adopt-A-Highway session for the spring. Although I'm still living in the dorms, I plan to make the move down to the house next semester. Most of my weekends are now occupied by frat activities (read: wild parties), and homework, so actual rest comes at a premium these days.

As always, I hope all is well with you. Drop me a line if you've got the inclination. I'm going to be setting up a listing of all of the E.A. gang email address, as I've had them requested multiple times. Let me know if you'd rather I didn't post your address; however, I think you can rest assured this site won't get enough traffic to expose your computer to something harmful or unwanted.

With regard to Spring break, Dan and Ross are planning a ski trip of some kind, you've probably gotten the email on that. In addition to that, there is a U2 concert at HSBC Arena on June 3rd that I'm planning on going to; let me know if anyone's interested before I get tickets--it's gonna be a minimum of $45 for general admission.

That should do it for now. Incidentally, don't let Casey Kasem stay over at your house. He's a no-good vagrant.
